Celebrate Day of the Dead with a festive evening of music, food, and community. Remember departed loved ones in front of this year’s Día de los Muertos altar, savor traditional Mexican food, and enjoy the lively music of Verónica Robles and Her Mariachi. Taste Sangre de Vida tequilas presented in hand-painted Calavera bottles to celebrate Día de los Muertos.
The 2015 special temporary altar will feature folk art from Olinalá, Guerrero, selected and created by Mexican artist Javier González Rodríguez, whose illustration is shown here. He'll be available to discuss the motifs and techniques that make the art of Olinalá world-renowned. Altars and papel picado paper banners will be on view by the end of the day Wednesday, October 28 and remain on view through November.
Guests in catrina or calavera costumes will be eligible to win special prizes!
Tickets are only available online and must be purchased in advance.
