Broadway in East Somerville from McGrath Highway to Lombardi Way
For the 10th year in a row East Somerville Main Streets will partner with the City of Somerville and the Somerville Arts Council to present Carnaval @ Somerstreets on June 2nd, 2019.
Last year the festival attracted about 6,000 visitors from East Somerville and the greater Boston area, making it the most successful Carnaval to date!
Streets were closed to cars, but open to thousands of people to enjoy awesome music, performances from community groups, children's activities, and food from all over the world.
Street Closures & Traffic
In order to ensure public safety at the event, several road closures and parking bans will be in effect between McGrath Highway and Lombardi Way.:
Closed to all vehicular traffic;
No parking on either side of the street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.;
Residents who live on the west side of Broadway will be detoured onto Broadway at Pennsylvania Ave.; Residents who live on the east side of Broadway will be detoured onto Pearl St.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
