On Friday, August 12th at Boston Common, the crowds will groove with Eguie Castrillo when he plays the timbales like he used to do with Tito Puente himself! ¡Wepa!
Born in Puerto Rico, Eguie Castrillo has played with some of the most acclaimed personalities of the music world, including Jennifer Lopez, Arturo Sandoval, Steve Winwood, Paquito D'Rivera, and Donna Summer, to name a few. But there’s more! He also participated in the 1998 Grammy award-winning CD, Hot House, alongside Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval.
He currently serves as a professor at the renowned Berklee College of Music.
