Galería Cubana is pleased to announce Resilience, an exhibition of recent works by renowned Havana-based artist Luis Rodríguez Noa. Amid a period of profound socioeconomic strife and nationwide crisis on the island, this exhibition frames the creative act of painting as a vital mechanism for navigating upheaval, processing complex personal realities, and articulating a vision of adaptation and growth.

The paintings on view are built upon vibrant fields of layered color and expressive brushwork, capturing an energetic tension. Over these rich surfaces, Noa integrates symbolic drawings, words, numbers, and gestures.

These markings simultaneously recall ancestral pictographs and the immediacy of contemporary urban graffiti. Together, these elements form a sophisticated visual language that conveys the chaos and strife, as well as the resistance and reinvention unfolding in Cuba today.
