Venezuelan guitarist and composer Pedro Barboza presents Tres Caminos, an album inspired by the musical traditions of Venezuela and reimagined in a personal voice always inspired by jazz. The work explores Afro-Venezuelan rhythms, onda nueva, merengue caraqueño, and other Latin American styles, transformed into a unique discourse where traditions engage in dialogue with new forms of expression.
This presentation at Berklee is both a celebration of the album and an invitation for students to reflect on how roots and personal journeys can inspire and shape new musical languages.
