On November 1, starting at 2pm, join at the Multicultural Arts Center for the return of our Día de los Muertos Festival!
The afternoon will begin at 2pm with a cultural festival and gathering featuring artisan vendors, live traditional music, a commemorative ofrenda (altar), and a procession of catrinas, symbolizing the beauty and continuity of life and death in Mexican tradition. Marissa Molinar will offer a traditional Mexican folkloric dance workshop. Music Director Zaira Meneses will curate live music for the festivities and evening performance.
Attendance is free and by suggested donation for the festivities.

Following the festival, the celebration will continue in a Catrinas Runway! Catrinas will have the opportunity to process through the halls and around the Multicultural Center, take pictures in the garden, with Nadia Galaviz and ZAI Musicians providing musical accompaniment.
And finally, join us for a live orchestral performance like no other by Orquesta UNIDOS at 7:30pm (Doors at 7pm), an ensemble of distinguished Latin American musicians, featuring Mexican pianist Raquel Fisk and classical guitarist Zaira Meneses. This concert will weave together classical repertoire and Latin American compositions, uniting cultures through music and remembrance.
Venue Information:
The Multicultural Arts Center is located at 41 Second Street in Cambridge, MA. Please enter at the ground floor entrance and visit the Box Office on your right as you enter.
Once you check in, you will head upstairs to the theater. There is an elevator and staircase for access to the theater.
Box Office will open an hour before the show starts, so you are welcome to arrive early. Feel free to visit our gallery before the show begins.
Getting There:
The Multicultural Arts Center is located just a few blocks from the Green line Lechmere MBTA Station.
The East Cambridge Parking Garage is entered off Spring Street, between First & Second Streets, one block away from us, and open 24/7.
