CineFest Latino Boston LLC is an annual film festival conducted in Boston, highlighting stories by and about Latinos. The festival is committed to using the power of film to break stereotypes, bring cultures and communities together and reveal the complex issues affecting the Latinx community in the United States, as well as communities in Latin America and Spain.

Meet the artist behind our 2026 festival poster. @felipeortizart
This year’s CineFest Latino Boston artwork was created by Felipe Ortiz, a Colombian artist based in Boston whose work spans painting, public art, and large-scale murals. His work has been exhibited in institutions including the Massachusetts State House, Northeastern University, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and the Provincetown Public Art Foundation.
The painting featured on our 2026 poster, La pendiente, captures a moment walking through the hillside neighborhood of Siloé in Cali, Colombia. While the neighborhood is often defined by its challenges, Felipe’s experience there tells a different story—one of creativity, community, and possibility.
For Felipe, public art is more than a mural. It’s a way to create connection, inspire young people, and strengthen communities through shared expression.
The festival honored to feature La pendiente as the visual identity of CineFest Latino Boston 2026 and to celebrate an artist whose work reflects the same values that inspire our festival: storytelling, resilience, and the power of culture to bring people together.
