Boston-based dance organization Jean Appolon Expressions performs the world premiere of Pouvwa (Power)—an immersive evening of interconnectedness shaped through Haitian-folkloric dance, Afro-electronica, live drumming and visual installations.  Pouvwa invites audiences to reflect on the misuse of power, and how we might wield it to imagine a world that benefits us all. Featuring special guest artist Val Jeanty, Grammy-winning Afro-Electronica composer, turntablist, and SoundChemist, alongside poet, actor, and playwright Jean Dany Joachim and a powerful collective of artists and dancers.

The presentation of Pouvwa by Jean Appolon Expressions was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts' National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Foundation and the Mellon Foundation.
