In response to a challenging year, the artist delves deep into his imagination to create an ideal world where fear, stress, and want don't exist. Inspired by the lush countryside of Santiago de Cuba, Gaulhiac believes that all living beings nurture a close relationship to one another. His highly stylized vibrantly colored paintings portray a universe where the natural world blends seamlessly with the realm of humans. Gaulhiac’s focus is on the spirit and energy of the figures embedding them with patterns and rich color. The artist has been represented by Galeria Cubana since 2007 and has participated in more than 50 exhibitions internationally and in Cuba.
